The Journal About us Our products

1. Made-to-Order Production

Each garment is cut, sewn, and finished specifically for your order. Production begins shortly after your purchase is confirmed.

This made-to-order model helps us avoid overproduction and maintain the integrity of our craft.
Before shipping, every piece undergoes a detailed quality control process, including:

  • Verification of fabric, construction, and finishing

  • Measurement checks against order specifications

  • Photographic documentation prior to packaging

Once production has started, orders cannot be cancelled or modified.

2. Returns & Right of Withdrawal

Due to the made-to-order nature of our garments, returns and exchanges are not guaranteed.

However, return requests may be submitted within 14 days of delivery, provided that:

  • The item is unworn, unwashed, and unaltered

  • The item is returned in its original condition

  • The request is approved by Drape Layers

All return requests are reviewed individually and approved on a case-by-case basis.
Approval is not automatic.

If a return is approved:

  • Return shipping costs will be deducted from the refund

  • Any original shipping fees are non-refundable

We strongly recommend contacting us for sizing or fit guidance before placing your order.

3. Order Accuracy

Please review your order carefully before confirming.
Once production begins, changes to size, fabric, or specifications cannot be guaranteed.

If you believe you have made an error shortly after placing your order, contact us immediately at contact@drapelayers.com. We will do our best to assist before production starts, but changes are not assured.

4. Defective or Incorrect Items

In the rare event that an item arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 5 days of delivery at contact@drapelayers.com, including:

  • Your order number

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Clear photos of the item and packaging

Each case is reviewed individually. Where appropriate, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or refund.

5. Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method or, where applicable, store credit, only after the item has been received and inspected.

Please note:

  • Processing times depend on your bank or payment provider

  • We do not offer discounts as an alternative to returns

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Made-to-order garments or accessories (unless approved as outlined above)

  • Items damaged through misuse or post-delivery alterations

  • Gift cards or digital items

At Drape Layers, each garment is produced with intention and precision. Our collections are primarily made to order, allowing us to work responsibly, minimise waste, and maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship.

This policy outlines our production timelines, shipping methods, delivery estimates, and important delivery terms.

1. Production Timeline (Made-to-Order)

Most garments offered through Drape Layers are produced on a made-to-order basis.

  • Production begins shortly after your order is confirmed

  • Typical production time is 1–2 weeks

  • Each piece undergoes a detailed quality control process prior to dispatch, including verification of measurements, construction, and finishing

Once production has started, orders cannot be cancelled or modified.

2. Delivery Timeframe (Made-to-Order)

After production and final inspection, orders are shipped via a tracked courier service.

  • Estimated total delivery time is 2–3 weeks from purchase, depending on destination and shipping method

You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order leaves our atelier, including tracking details.

3. DL Circle — Immediate Dispatch

Selected garments may be offered through DL Circle.

Items listed under DL Circle are available for immediate dispatch and do not require production.

  • Orders placed through DL Circle typically ship within 1–3 business days

  • Delivery time depends on destination and courier service

  • Availability within DL Circle is limited and varies over time

DL Circle items follow the same quality control standards as made-to-order pieces prior to shipment.

4. Shipping Methods & Rates

We offer tracked international delivery through trusted logistics partners.

  • Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination and order size

  • All orders over €1,000 qualify for complimentary shipping within EU countries

Shipping fees, where applicable, are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law.

5. Tracking & Updates

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking link by email.

  • The tracking link allows you to follow the progress of your delivery and estimated arrival

  • If an order includes multiple made-to-order items, shipment may occur once all pieces are completed, in order to minimise packaging and environmental impact

6. Delivery Responsibility & Risk

Once an order has been handed over to the courier, ownership and risk transfer to the customer.

If a parcel is marked as delivered but not received, the customer must contact the courier directly using the tracking information provided.

While we are happy to assist with communication where possible, Drape Layers is not responsible for delays, loss, theft, or damage occurring after transfer to the delivery carrier.

Please ensure that your delivery address and contact details are accurate at checkout. We cannot be held responsible for delays, losses, or additional charges resulting from incorrect or incomplete information.

7. Customs, Duties & Taxes

International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes, or import fees depending on the destination country.

  • These charges are not included in our prices

  • All customs-related fees are the responsibility of the customer

We recommend reviewing local customs regulations prior to placing an order.

8. Delays & Exceptions

Delivery estimates are provided as guidance only.

Delays may occur due to customs clearance, logistical disruptions, or high order volumes. If a significant delay is anticipated, we will contact you directly with updated delivery information.
